  • "Since its inauguration, the Beijing Forum has been convened under the general theme of "The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All". Discussions have focused on advancing peace and development, making the Forum a valuable platform for deepening mutual learning and understanding. The theme of this year's forum, "The Changing World and the Future of Humankind", is highly relevant. It dovetails with current global developments and touches on matters of interest to all."——Yang Jiechi, Member of the Political Bureau and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee
  • “I welcome your longstanding focus on the harmony of civilizations. At a time of global challenge, we need mutual understanding. And we can meet today’s task through dialogue based on universal values for peace and development. This is how we get to achieve the sustainable development goals and build and better world for all. Thank you for supporting United Nations in that crucial work.”————António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations
